Bernard brings over 25+ years of technical, financial, and business expertise that has helped him optimize the IT functions across organizations, realize significant cost savings, and generate new revenue through technology enhancements. Most recently, Bernard has held chief information officer roles within the healthcare industry, blending his strengths to contain costs, consolidate vendors, realize economy of scale, and create meaningful impacts company-wide. Before starting his career and gaining hands-on technical experience while serving in the United States Army Air Defense/NATO, Bernard earned a B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Boston University. Bernard has now led the optimization of IT teams at General Electric Healthcare, InterDent Service Corporation, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Advanced Patient Advocacy, leveraging his ability to build and scale teams and enabling significant growth and development. As a dynamic technology executive, Bernard will continue leading enterprise-wide efforts to establish IT as an invaluable partner in optimizing operational performance as VPP’s chief information officer.
When he’s not leading IT efforts, Bernard enjoys traveling internationally and extreme hiking, skiing, and scuba diving. Bernard has four grown daughters and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
