Senior Vice President of Operations
Marty Peters joined VPP in 2021 to serve on our operations team by providing tactical and strategic support to our hospitals. Before VPP, Marty worked in veterinary operations leadership roles at National Veterinary Associates (NVA) and Innovetive Petcare. Outside of the veterinary field, Marty worked in management consulting with The Boston Consulting Group and operations leadership in human urgent care. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He spent 8-years as an infantry officer with four deployments before leaving active duty to earn his MBA from Harvard Business School. He continues to serve as a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserves, leading a Battalion in Austin, Texas. Marty’s unique background makes him a great fit to support and be a partner to our hospitals.
Marty lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Megan, son, Merritt, and rescue puppers, Katia and Freya. During his spare time, he enjoys long-distance running, bareboat sailboat chartering, hiking/backpacking, and helping veterans with applications to higher-ed schools with an organization called Service 2 School.
