Our Community Just Earned Three Newsweek Honors

Veterinary Practice Partners has been awarded Newsweek’s 2026 America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care, America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, and America’s Greatest Workplaces by State in California, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

We got some news this month that we have been waiting to share. Newsweek has named Veterinary Practice Partners to three of its 2026 workplace rankings, and before it goes anywhere else, we wanted our community to hear it from us.

Here is what the honors cover:

We are honored by these, and humbled by where they come from. Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group build the rankings from independent employee survey data and public reputation research.

Locally run, better together

VPP partners with over 330 doctor co-owners at more than 200 veterinary hospitals across 35 states, a community of more than 700 doctors and over 3,600 team members. What those numbers do not capture is how differently each of those hospitals runs, and that is very much by design. Every practice keeps its own name, its own culture, and the reputation it spent years earning, while the Home Team works behind the scenes on the parts nobody went to veterinary school for.

In practice, that support looks like co-ownership pathways for doctors who want a real stake in where they work, professional development people actually want to attend, and an Employee Assistance Fund for the weeks when life stops cooperating.

On the recognition for women

Veterinary medicine is a profession led by women, which is why the Greatest Workplaces for Women honor lands the way it does for us. It is not a side category or a footnote in this field. In a lot of ways it is the field, and being recognized here tells us the culture our teams have built is working for the people who make up most of it.

That is worth celebrating together.
