Growing Together: Celebrating the Power of Community at Homecoming 2025

At VPP, we believe in the power of community. We never want anyone to feel unsupported or alone in their practice. Homecoming 2025 was a powerful reminder of this – our annual celebration of the people, partnerships, and shared purpose that make our community thrive.

Starting as a small gathering of less than a dozen doctors, Homecoming was developed to foster lasting connections among our VPP community. This year marked a milestone event – including nearly 400 doctor partners, hospital teams, and leaders from coast to coast.

“It’s amazing to think of where Homecoming began and to see where we are today. Our community is growing, and this year’s event truly captured the energy and momentum of that.” — Courtney Bryant, Vice President of Partnership Development

This year, we focused on how we scale without losing our soul, which captured exactly where we are as an organization. As we grow, we’re presented with incredible opportunities to shape the future of the veterinary industry while preserving the heart in our profession. Through honest conversations, shared stories, and moments of connection, we are reminded that growth means more than numbers – it’s about protecting the spirit of true partnership, trust, and care that fosters our culture.

“VPP exists to shape the future and preserve the heart of our profession for the next generation. We are building something rare in veterinary medicine: a community where partnership is real, where local ownership matters, and where we genuinely believe in the goodness and potential of people. These principles are important to protect as we grow.” — John McDonough, CEO of Veterinary Practice Partners

We are so grateful to our sponsors for helping make this event a success. Our 2025 sponsors include: AmerisourceBergen, Idexx, Zoetis, Purina Pro Plan, Boehringer Ingelheim, Petvisor, Royal Canin, Elanco, Scribble Vet, Care Credit, and Bionote. Thank you to everyone who came out to make this an unforgettable weekend.

As John says, “Our best days are ahead of us!”
